Wine Not?

Being in one of the biggest Wine regions in the world, is the pits. SAID NOBODY EVER!

We live in one of the most auspicious wine countries in the world. With farms dotted around the Western Cape, we have been spoiled by having all these beautiful wines right at our fingertips. And Genevieve is missing some of here faves, but she's been hooked up with some beauts in the UK too!

So for those who missed it, Genevieve and I are picking random letters out of a hat (or in our case, a bucket) and we have to review a wine we find, that begins with that letter. Last we did the letter S, and I chose the Spier 2021 Merlot which is part of their signature collection. This is a family owned farm and is situated in the exquisite Stellenbosch. They have the most incredible Cape Dutch style hotel, they can arrange picnics in the vineyards, they have a restaurant and tasting room.

Spier has an intiative called Growing for Good. Which is something I love about this wine farm. They are working with the community on projects such as farming and ecological restoration.

They recycle their black and grey water; they have organic pastures and actively monitor how much they plant. They are investing in the future of their community - we love!

So if you're keen on a beautifully fragrant, bold wine, try Spier Merlot
